Piling holes dug by Zipperlock crew on the customer prepared, level building site
Concrete c/w all required reinforcing steel for the piling system is installed by the Zipperlock crew
Typical pilings are 12″ diameter on either 4′, 5′ or 6′ centers depending on the building application
Step 2
Pre-painted coils of galvanized steel are loaded onto our multi–coil rack
Step 3 & 4
Feed the coil steel through the Zipperlock factory to make the straight panels
Automatic stop measures all panels that will be used for the roof arches to an exact length to ensure that all arches are the same length, resulting in the same arch radius when they go through the curving section of the Zipperlock factory
Step 5
Guillotine shear cuts straight panels to length
Step 6
Turn the straight Zipperlock panels on their side
Step 7
Feed them back through the curving section of the Zipperlock factory that has been preset to the required radius for the width and height model of your building
Step 8
The curved arches are taken off the curving tables, and manually carried onto the building site where they are stacked in sets of 5 arches and each arch is mechanically seamed together with the Zipperlock seaming machine
Step 9
Hoist each set of 5 arches off the ground and set them into position in the angle iron base frame that is attached to the piling system
Step 10
Seam each new section of 5 arches onto the existing previously installed sections to make the “barrel” of the building
Step 11
After checking that the building is running straight and true, the arches are welded to the angle iron base frame to ensure the building is secure during the construction process
Step 12
Cut and install the galvanized door frames for the overhead doors into the end walls of the building
Step 13
Cut and install straight Zipperlock panels into the end walls of the building by seaming them into place. These straight Zipperlock panels are trimmed and attached to the roof arches and to the angle iron base frame
Step 14
When the end walls are complete, the final end rings are then installed and seamed into place to finish off and seal the top of the end wall
Step 15
Install the required rebar into the foundation. Set up concrete forms, pour and finish the concrete foundation.
Step 16
Install overhead doors c/w manual chain hoist openers or electric openers
