Standard building sizes are 54’, 60’, 66’ and 72’ wide by any length that is required. In some areas we have built up to 80’ wide.
Because the Zipperlock Building is roll formed and manufactured on your site we can very easily build custom sizes as well. With simple adjustments to the Zipperlock factory we can make any width of building from 40’ wide to 72’ wide and with multiple height possibilities it is easy to custom design and build a Zipperlock Building that meets your door size requirements to accommodate today’s large farm equipment.
Thanks in part to our high profile building design, numerous height profiles for each width of building model, and the choice of either 2’ high or 4’ high concrete foundations, the door size choices are nearly endless.
The high profile design of a Zipperlock Building maximizes the overhead door sizes that are available to you making it easy to get today’s large, tall equipment into your new Zipperlock Building where it is safely stored out of the elements. In a single door application we can achieve up to a 32’ wide x 18’ high, 20’ high or 22’ high door, and with the addition of a roll to the side mullion post we can achieve 40’ wide, 44’ wide and 48’ wide x 18’ high, 20’ high, 22’ high and even 24’ high doors on request.
The high profile design allows even the largest of today’s farm equipment to be parked in many cases just as close to the sidewall as you could park in a straight wall design building. This means that you don’t lose any valuable floor space to the ever expanding piles of junk that line the sidewalls of so many older arch wall styles of buildings.
With the combination of the white exterior / white interior and the translucent fiberglass door panels it will be incredibly bright inside the building, and much cooler than inside a galvanized building. In fact many satisfied Zipperlock customers are finding that on a cool windy spring day they are able to work on the air drills inside their Zipperlock Building with the doors closed. They are out of the wind and it is bright enough inside the building without the need for any additional lights. And on a hot summer day when you need to be getting the combine ready to hit the field for harvest it could be 10 – 15 degrees cooler inside the Zipperlock Building than it is outside. And best of all, other than the tracks and braces for the overhead doors, there is nowhere on the inside of a Zipperlock Building for birds to roost and do what birds love to do all over your nice clean equipment!
